How I work

Every person arrives with a different story, so therapy is shaped around you. These are the tools I use most.

Cognitive behavioral therapy

We notice the patterns that keep anxiety going and practice new ways to respond. Structured, practical, and very well researched.

Good for panic, worry, social anxiety

Acceptance and commitment therapy

Instead of fighting difficult thoughts, we build room for them, and move toward what matters to you.

Good for burnout, perfectionism

EMDR

A gentle way to process memories that still feel stuck, using guided eye movements.

Good for trauma, difficult experiences

Hello, I’m Leyla

I became a therapist after years of watching brilliant people burn out quietly. I want therapy to feel less intimidating, and more like a conversation that actually changes something.

DClinPsy, University College London. HCPC registered clinical psychologist. Member of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies. I work in English, Turkish and French.

Questions people ask

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

If something has been weighing on you for a while, it is worth a conversation. The free call is there so you can decide without pressure.

Is online therapy as effective?

For most people, yes. Research shows similar results for anxiety and burnout. Many clients mix online and in-person sessions.

Is everything confidential?

Yes. The only exception is if I believe you or someone else is at serious risk, and I would always talk to you first.

Can I use private health insurance?

I am registered with Bupa, AXA Health and Aviva. Check your policy for mental health cover first.
